Thank you so much for your words of encouragement and support over the past few weeks! Life definitely threw me a few curves, but I’m so thankful for our awesome staff and volunteers who stepped up during my absence. I knew that our students and school were in good hands, and I never worried about things at school! My husband is home from the hospital and improving slowly, but surely. We are thankful for the care from awesome nurses and for God’s great healing hand on his life!
ITBS/CogAT Testing – Students in 1st – 5th grades completed their testing this week, and we should have those results back sometime in May. Although it’s good information to have, I encourage you not to put too much weight on this test. It is just one piece of information that we use, along with teacher observation, their daily work and report cards to measure your child’s progress. However, if the same areas continue to show weakness from one year to the next, then that might invite some additional consideration. Once the results are back, if you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or me to discuss. Thank you so much for your efforts in having students to school on time and prepared each day.
World Vision’s Global 6K for Water – Just a reminder about this special event benefiting World Vision’s efforts to provide clean water for communities in Africa, Haiti, and India. Students brought home registration information and the answers to many FAQ if you are interested in participating. I know they are planning a fun family day at the Frisco High School track.
