Lunch Orders – Thank you for placing all lunch orders for the week on Monday. This allows us to communicate early with each of the providers, ensuring that we receive our orders correctly and on time. If orders are placed the day of, unfortunately, I cannot ensure that they will be received and delivered.
World Vision’s Global 6K for Water – Just a reminder about tomorrow’s special event benefiting World Vision’s efforts to provide clean water for communities in Africa, Haiti, and India. Students brought home registration information and the answers to many FAQ if you are interested in participating. I know they are planning a fun family day at the Frisco High School track.
Teacher Appreciation Week – Next week has been set aside for Teacher Appreciation Week! This week provides the perfect opportunity for you to express your appreciation for all that your child’s teacher has done this year. Several events have been planned to make all of our teachers feel special, but I know that a personal note from you and your child would be especially meaningful to them. We have an amazing group of talented teachers, and they have worked so hard to provide the best school year possible for your child. Even in the face of our school closing, they have continued to persevere and be totally committed to making this a productive and memorable year! I am blessed and grateful to have had the opportunity to work with each one of them.
May 4th – Star Wars Day – Next Friday is May 4th, and that means it’s STAR WARS DAY!! (May the 4th be with you!) If your child has a Star Wars shirt, they may wear it with jeans, or they could wear their old Star Wars field day shirts from a few years ago. It should be a fun day!
St. Philip’s Night at the RoughRiders – We hope you’ll join us for an afternoon of fun and baseball on Sunday, May 20th! Special thanks to Kimberly Evans for making all of the arrangements for this event. Your child should have brought home a flyer regarding this event and how to purchase tickets, but let us know if you need another copy. I’m planning on being at this one, and I hope to see you there, too!
School Records – Many of you have asked, “What will happen to my child’s school records?” I wanted to let you know that those will be given to you at the end of the school year. I’m not sure yet how long I will be here after school is out, and I want to make sure that you have access to anything you might need when enrolling your child in their new school. I will let you know when those are available for pickup, sometime the last week of school. If you know the families of former students, please let them know that they may also request those records by contacting me at email@example.com.
