Have you built your ark yet? Seriously…I think we’ve had enough rain to last a month! Although warmer temps are in the forecast, it looks like more rain is on the horizon for next week. It’s tough on our students to not have outdoor recess, but we’re finding ways to keep them active and moving through brain breaks during the day. Hoping for some much-needed sunshine soon!
Hot lunch – With Mrs. Ballent gone, I will now be placing the daily lunch orders, so please send all future orders to me – email@example.com. Just a reminder, we will not have hot lunches the week before Spring Break (March 5-9). Students will need to bring their lunches, or you are welcome to bring them a lunch, but making this change will simplify the process for our staff in my absence. I know that some of you have already paid for this week, but we’ll just move your payment to the week we return from Spring Break. Thank you for your support, for being flexible, and for understanding my dilemma!
In addition, lunch will be provided for our Field Trips, so:
- Thursday, March 1st – ALL students will have lunch at Babes Chicken.
- Friday, March 2nd – 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will have lunch at Cici’s Pizza.
For those of you who pay for the whole month and have already paid for next week, that payment will be moved forward. Next week, I will email everyone who has remaining credit so that you will know when to make your next lunch payment.
SPESF Spirit Night – Feb. 27th – We hope that you will plan to join us for dinner at Flippin’ Pizza, located at 8161 FM423 Suite 230. They’re known for their New York-style thin-crust pizza, and they offer an array of toppings. Come on out and enjoy a good meal and great fellowship with our St. Philip’s family!
Memory Verse for February: “The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure.” ~ I Corinthians 10:13
Memory Verse for March: “Kind words are like honey – sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.” ~ Proverbs 16: 23-24
Quote of the Week: “Show respect…even to people who don’t deserve it; not as a reflection of their character, but as a reflection of yours.” ~ Dave Willis
Have a great weekend!
